Dominican Joel Rosario, one of the leading jockeys in the United States and the first Dominican ever to win the prestigious Kentucky Derby horse race, just two weeks ago, is favourite for the Preakness Horse race in Baltimore, Maryland next Saturday.
The jockey, who was born in Santo Domingo, will once again ride Orb who is unbeaten in his last Five starts. This is the second race that makes up US horse racings Triple Crown.
The Triple Crown consists of three major horse races annually run during the months of may and june in the United States, The Kentucly Derby, The Preakness and the final race in New York, the Belmont Stakes. The last time one horse won all three races was 35 years ago, and that accolade was taken by Affirmed.
