Cartier comes to the Dominican capital
Santo Domingo.- President Leonel Fernandez cut the inaugural ribbon on the new Cartier jewelry store in the first floor of the shopping center Blue Mall on Winston Churchill avenue, in the capital’s financial district.
Fernandez said Cartier’s arrival in Santo Domingo is a sign of confidence in the Dominican economy’s stability and growth, mostly in the purchasing power of the Dominican middle-class. “To be able to acquire highly sophisticated products such as those of Cartier requires a society which has social sectors with a consumption capacity.”
He added that this is possible only in a consolidated economy which has the potential to continue growing, which the chief executive affirms is the case of the Dominican Republic.
Cartier president in Dominican Republic, Rafi Venzo, also hailed the country’s political stability and economic growth.
